PGAM Clubmaking and Repair Program

Members who wish to join just need to pay RM250 registration fees and the program's cost will be subsidised by PGAM. 6 pax per class. All must attend all 5 weeks classes. If failed, cert will not be given and fine will be imposed.

First class will be on Monday 2nd Oct 2017, 9th Oct, 16th Oct, 23rd Oct & final class 30th Oct 2017. Class start at 9am. Lunch will be provided.

Club repair & Clubmaking (5 days)
Basic Club Assembly.

Day 1. (Monday 2nd of October)
- Shop Safety
- Grip Specification and installation for sizing
- Grip Effect on club performance
- Butt extending shafts, graphite and steel
- removing butt extensions from graphite or steel

Day 2. (Monday 9th of October)
- Removal of Steel Shafts
- Removal of Graphite Shafts
- Removing heads withs special hosels 
- extracting adaptors from shaft tips

Day 3. (Monday 16th of October)
- Irons loft, Lie and offset measurements & Making Adjustments
- Hybrids Loft, Lie, face angle and offset measurements 
- bounce angle measurement and grinding

Day 4. (Monday 23rd of October)
- iron set assembly
- swing weighting clubs
- woods assembly

Day 5. (Monday 30th of October)
- wedge grinding and its effect on golf shot
- boring iron heads from taper to parallel 
- hand making shims to adjust hosel size
- specialty repairs
