

PGAM KGSS Classic 2026 – Leg 3

The PGAM KGSS Classic 2026 – Leg 3 was successfully held on 1 April 2026, attracting a strong field of 91 participants. The event featured 48 professionals, including 5 lady professionals, alongside 43 amateurs, of which 12 were juniors below the age of 18.
Played under good weather conditions, the course was presented in excellent condition, providing a fair yet competitive test for all players.
In the professional category, Kim Leun Kwang emerged as the champion with an impressive score of 67. The Senior Professional title went to Chong Chee Ming, who secured victory with a score of 72 after an exciting two-hole playoff.
In the amateur division, Aiden Kei claimed top honors with a solid round of 70.
The prize presentation ceremony was officiated by PGAM Vice President Airil Rizman Zahari, who presented trophies to the winners.
Overall, the event was a great success, highlighting strong participation across all categories and continued development of both professional and junior golf in Malaysia.




Malaysia’s Liyana Azizan Durisic has made the nation proud, winning the 2026 Women’s World Sand Greens Championship in Australia.
The 23-year-old fired seven birdies in the final round to finish five-under par, securing a two-shot victory.
Staying patient throughout a tight leaderboard, Liyana delivered clutch birdies on 16 and 17 to seal the win without even knowing she had taken the lead.
“It’s anyone’s game out there, but today I figured it out,” she said.
A breakthrough moment for Malaysian golf, Liyana now heads into a short break before returning to compete on the Malaysian Tour and Thai LPGA.

Malaysia’s Natasha Andrea Oon is officially back
After earning her LPGA Tour card in 2024 with a standout season on the Epson Tour, her journey was halted by a severe sesamoid stress fracture that required surgery.
Now fully recovered, she makes her long-awaited LPGA rookie debut this week at the Fortinet Founders Cup as the only Malaysian in the 2026 field.
Strong signs already: T5 finish (-8) at the IOA Golf Classic last week.
From setback to comeback.

Pang Hee Jie and Zulaikah Nasser have successfully secured their Thai LPGA Tour memberships following impressive performances at the Q-School held on 18–19 March at Royal Hua Hin Golf Course.
Competing in a field of 79 players, Hee Jie delivered a strong showing to finish 5th, while Zulaikah claimed 10th place both comfortably earning their tour cards for the upcoming season.
The duo will waste no time in getting their campaigns underway, with their season set to begin this week at the Singha-SAT Royal Hua Hin Ladies Championship from 20–22 March.

2026 KPGA JP Lifestyle Winter Tour – Inaugural Event
The inaugural 2026 KPGA JP Lifestyle Winter Tour was successfully staged from 24–25 January 2026 at The Mines Golf Resort City, Kuala Lumpur. The event was sanctioned by the PGA of Malaysia (PGAM) and marked a significant milestone in strengthening regional professional golf collaboration.
A total of 120 participants competed in the tournament. PGA of Malaysia was allocated two invitation slots, awarded to:
Ying Hock Hong – Top player from the 2025 Satellite Tour Order of Merit
Shariffuddin Arriffin – Malaysia’s top player based on World Ranking

Ying claimed victory after an intense four-hole playoff, securing the title with a birdie.

The championship showcased high-quality competition and excellent course conditions, reflecting the strong cooperation between JP Lifestyle, the Korean PGA (KPGA), and PGA of Malaysia.
Congratulations to Ying Hock Hong on a well-deserved victory, and to JP Lifestyle and Korean PGA for the successful organisation of the inaugural KPGA event in Malaysia. This tournament sets a strong foundation for future editions and continued international collaboration.

All Thailand Golf Tour 2026 – Qualifying School (Final Stage)
Date: 23–26 December 2025
Venue: Watermill Golf Club & Resort, Thailand
Congratulations to Daeng Rahman on successfully qualifying for the All Thailand Golf Tour 2026.
Daeng Rahman posted an impressive four-round score of 76, 72, 65, 68 for a total of 281 (−7) to secure his qualification.
With this achievement, he is entitled to compete in all 10 events on the All Thailand Golf Tour for the 2026 season.

PGA of Malaysia Elects New Leadership at 12th Annual General Meeting
Kinrara, Selangor – 29 September 2025 – The Professional Golfers’ Association of Malaysia (PGAM) successfully convened its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Kinrara Golf Club, with the participation of 66 members. The AGM marked an important milestone as members elected the new office bearers for the 2025–2027 term, setting the direction for the Association’s continued growth and development.

Meeting with Yayasan Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (YUTP) Golf Charity 2025 2nd Oct 2025 at KLGCC.
YUTP has approached the PGA of Malaysia to secure the participation of two lady professionals 'beat the pro' for their upcoming Golf Charity 2025, scheduled on 15 November 2025 at Impian Golf & Country Club.
After reviewing the performance records of PGAM lady members who have been active in the PGAM Satellite Tour, Amalia and Liyana have been selected to represent PGAM at the event.





Friday, 8 August 2025 – Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
A courtesy visit and discussion was held with Ketua Setiausaha Tetap KBS Sabah, Datuk Mansur Hj. Asun, at his office. The meeting focused on PGAM’s efforts to contribute towards enhancing the knowledge and capacity of local coaches, with the goal of encouraging more school children in Sabah to take up golf as a sport.
