PGA of Malaysia Elects New Leadership at 12th Annual General Meeting

 

Kinrara, Selangor – 29 September 2025 – The Professional Golfers’ Association of Malaysia (PGAM) successfully convened its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Kinrara Golf Club, with the participation of 66 members. The AGM marked an important milestone as members elected the new office bearers for the 2025–2027 term, setting the direction for the Association’s continued growth and development.

The elected office bearers are as follows:

President – Dato' Halim Muazzam bin Datuk Ayob

Vice President (Vocational) – Chong Chee Ming 

Vice President (Touring) – Airil Rizman Zahari

Honorary Secretary – Farid Dato' Rashid

Honorary Treasurer – Rahizam Ramli

Council Members (Vocational)
Jonathan Wong
Lim Ai Lian
Dinie Zaki

Council Members (Touring)
Razli Yahya
Dinata Abdillah
M. Sasidaran

In his acceptance remarks, Dato' Halim Muazzam bin Datuk Ayob, newly elected President of PGAM, expressed his gratitude and commitment to lead the Association forward:

"I am honoured to be entrusted with this responsibility and I look forward to working closely with the Council, our members, and partners to further strengthen the role of PGAM in advancing professional golf in Malaysia. Together, we will continue to create opportunities for our professionals, nurture new talent, and enhance the stature of Malaysian golf both regionally and internationally."

The new leadership team will focus on expanding professional development pathways, fostering closer collaboration with stakeholders, and elevating the standards of the game in line with international best practices.

Friday, 8 August 2025 – Kota Kinabalu, Sabah


A courtesy visit and discussion was held with Ketua Setiausaha Tetap KBS Sabah, Datuk Mansur Hj. Asun, at his office. The meeting focused on PGAM’s efforts to contribute towards enhancing the knowledge and capacity of local coaches, with the goal of encouraging more school children in Sabah to take up golf as a sport.
